The 160-point inspection
Before a Mazda earns certification, a factory-trained Mazda technician inspects it inside and out. A few of the checks it has to pass:
Engine
Confirms smooth acceleration.
Transmission
Checks shift quality and shift points.
Brakes
Confirms ABS operates properly on hard stops.
Exterior
Checks the windshield for cracks, large chips and improper repairs.
Interior
Checks that seats and headrests work in every position.
A/C and heating
Confirms the climate system is operating properly.
To qualify, a Mazda must also be six model years old or newer with fewer than 80,000 miles.
